Brian Holliday and Andrew Peters

Siemens IA&DT, part of the UK Industry Sector, has announced the appointment of two Divisional Directors, charged with leading future strategic direction and operational delivery across the industry automation & drive technologies businesses in the UK.

Reporting to the IA&DT managing director, Brian Holliday and Andrew Peters have been promoted to oversee the next stage of development for their respective areas of the IA&DT business.

Brian Holliday will take on specific responsibility for the Industry Automation division, with Andrew Peters assuming responsibility for Drive Technologies. The appointments are designed to drive synergies and complementary strategies across both business areas to support Siemens’ Power of One business strategy.

Brian Holliday, divisional director for Industry Automation, comments: “I am delighted to take up this new position within the IA&DT division and look forward to working closely with Andrew to continue to propel the Siemens business forward in the UK.  Our combined technological solutions for industry are already helping companies across many sectors meet current and future challenges.  Whether it is seeking out operational efficiencies, helping manufacturers satisfy legislative requirements around safety issues, or supporting the ongoing drive to find effective energy-related solutions, the breadth of IA&DT’s answers for industry is compelling and one that I look forward to supporting and developing further.”

Andrew Peters, divisional director for Drive Technologies, says: “Now, more than ever, our customers are looking to Siemens IA&DT to support them in terms of providing quantifiable solutions, act as a true consultative partner and deliver real value back to their businesses.  The benefit-driven synergies found across the industry automation and drive technologies areas will continue to meet the needs of our growing customer base, and help position Siemens IA&DT at the forefront of solution delivery.  Alongside Brian, I look forward to building on these real and well-proven synergies.”

Siemens IA&DT managing director, Juergen Maier comments: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Brian and Andrew to these key divisional director roles.  The UK IA&DT business is going from strength to strength and we will continue to drive forward the Power of One business strategy to meet the needs of the marketplace.  The individual merits of our industry automation and drive technologies solutions are strong and well proven, but working more closely together we can offer an enhanced and powerful combination of broad-based expertise, technical solutions and innovative thinking to provide real and tangible answers for industry.”
